The Warrior’s Prayer Part One

Before I share my thoughts on the Warrior Prayer I would like to acknowledge that this is not my work or thoughts but those of Stuart Wilde. I found this prayer on his site, http://www.stuartwilde.com/ and found it nothing but inspirational. My intent here is not to copy Mr. Wilde‘s work in any way, but to add my own thoughts in short sections of his prayer (two lines each) in separate blog posts on my site. No disrespect is intended to Mr. Wilde or his site or his wonderful words.

The Warrior’s Prayer

I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust.
In softness I have strength.
In silence I walk with the gods.
In peace I understand myself and the world.
In conflict I walk away.
In detachment I am free.
In respecting all living things I respect myself.
In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things.
In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others.
In freedom I have power.
In my individuality I express the GodForce within me.
In service I give of what I have become.
I am what I am:
Eternal, immortal, universal, and infinite.
And so be it. (Stuart Wilde)

I am what I am.
In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust.

I am what I am. How many times in life have we either changed or tried to change ourselves to please others? Self love is so hard for many of us and finding the strength to just “be who you are” is not alway easy. Yes, not easy but the right thing to do. In my life I have found it not only necessary but the only thing left to me after a family break up. It took me years to realize that because others don’t like the way you live your life or agree with your thought process‘s mean that you should change to meet their expectations.

If being thrown out of the tribe gives you the freedom to be who you came here to be, then let it happen, don’t fight against the inevitable! Your heart knows what you need. The pain that you’ll feel will be a tempering fire in your soul; that will allow you to walk in your truth. Peace for yourself lies in this space, don’t shy away from it, have the courage to be…you.

In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust. The ability to find the “real” you, the beautiful you is one that comes with time and experience. The journey to find this inner beauty us not for the faint of heart. Faith in yourself and in others is acquired through getting your heart-broken over and over. From this process we all find in our own time that we are or should be our own best friend. Develop the trust in your judgement and intuition that will allow you to walk in any arena that you set yourself in. Trust your inner voice for it has your best interests in heart always.

Thank you for reading and Thank you again to Stuart Wilde for his wonderful prayer.
